平和 [heiwa]

Serenity and beauty
doth bring calm to my soul
and the emptiness of rage
is left for I am whole

The anger unrepentant
and remorse sliding down
the mountain of forgiveness
the glint of a golden crown

I’m finding that place
where one must go
to find a peace
that only one can know

Momentarily surreptitious
and vainly colliding with my ego
I glance at the walls around me
and wonder
when will they let me go?

Energy simmering inside
with white walls considered
and mounting for one last ride
to the edge of the horizon

None can find this place
with eyes wide open
Uncovered by the grace
of eternity.
