Shipwrecked in paradise

Swimming in the sea of disbelief
the tides of truth washed him up
on the shore of questions and answers

The humid climate of freedom
made for the proliferous growth
of shoots of solutions
to problems once faced

Was this paradise?
Or was this hell?

A walk along the bank
of the river of peace
and all was revealed;

The wind of forgiveness
pushed back the branches of lies
and the sun shone through,
breaking in boughs of light

The clouds of worry
and the rains of distress
vapourised into the air
till nought but sunlight flooded

Indeed, it was paradise.
Paradise at last.
